GhostWriter AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website ghostwriterai.io (the “Service”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights over it.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: when you sign up, we collect your email address and (optionally) your name, via Google Sign-In or email/password registration.
  • Usage data: the number of words you process and request counts, used to enforce plan limits.
  • Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — only a customer reference and subscription status.
  • Content you submit: text you paste into the humanizer is sent to our AI provider to generate output. See “How We Use Your Content” below.
  • Technical data: approximate location (derived from time zone for currency display) and standard server logs.

2. How We Use Your Content

Text you submit to the humanizer is transmitted to our third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the humanized output. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train our own models. Submitted text is processed transiently to fulfil your request.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate the Service
  • To authenticate you and maintain your session
  • To enforce plan limits and process subscriptions

  • To detect, prevent, and address abuse or technical issues

4. Third-Party Processors

  • Firebase (Google): authentication and database
  • Anthropic: AI text processing
  • Stripe: payment processing
  • Vercel: hosting and infrastructure

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time, after which your personal data will be removed, subject to any legal retention obligations.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

7. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
